We work to support our partners and affiliates to achieve collective goals.

The goal of KCC is to provide a voice for a wide coalition of concerned nonprofits, grassroots citizen groups and individuals working for land conservation, water quality, biodiversity, sustainability, clean energy and climate change. Organizational partnerships or affiliations with KCC are available to all non-profit, non-governmental environmental organizations located within, or having members in, the Commonwealth.
We engage with these groups through two categories: Partners and Affiliates.

Partners are fiscal contributors to KCC. We provide these organizations specific lobbying capacity and expertise on issues within their mission. Partner groups are encouraged to submit candidates to the KCC Board, are provided all KCC legislative briefs and publications, and are given highest attention in shared priorities.

KCC was founded nearly half a century ago from a need for multiple conservation groups to have a dedicated legislative voice in Frankfort. We ask that Partners donate sustaining funds for us to provide a shared resource pool that allows us to provide year-around legislative representation. We ask that fiscal partners donate based on their organizational size and budget whether that be $100 or $10,000.

Affiliates are allies we coordinate with on issues within our shared mission, but may engage through in-kind support and shared work. KCC believes in providing organizing, strategy and logistical support for any and all coalitions where we have shared goals, regardless of means, as we are stronger when we work together.
