Lane Boldman
KCC Executive Director,
Legislative Agent

Lane has been working on environmental advocacy issues in Kentucky and nationally since 1992 and has been with the Kentucky Conservation Committee since 2014. Lane currently serves on the  Lexington Corridors Commission (since 2016). Her background includes working as the Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator for the Kentucky Environmental Foundation, and as a leader in multiple positions for the Sierra Club.  Lane has previously chaired the Kentucky Chapter of the Sierra Club and held leadership roles in the areas of mining, forestry, wildlands, energy and communications. Lane has also served on the Sierra Club’s national Board of Directors as Secretary, Vice President for Volunteer Leadership and Vice President for Visibility and Outreach. Lane has led policy teams for the Sierra Club on Natural Gas Fracking, Chaired the Sierra Club’s Council of Sierra Club Leaders, and served on the national Beyond Coal Campaign Leadership Team. Lane has also served on the board of Citizens Coal Council, working to empower citizens affected by the impacts of mining and coal,  the board of the US Green Building Council/Kentucky Market Leadership, and the board of the Kentucky Solar Energy Society.

Lane has a thirty year background in Marketing, Graphics and Communication in addition to her environmental work.  She is  a recipient of the National Sierra Club’s Susan E. Miller award for Administrative excellence in 2006, and the recipient of Kentucky Heartwood’s annual Stu Butler award in 2016. Lane is a graduate of Miami University.

Randy Strobo
KCC Legislative Agent,
Strobo Barkley PLLC

Randy Strobo is a partner at Strobo Barkley PLLC, serving as a consultant for KCC, and is an adjunct Professor of environmental law and policy at Bellarmine University’s School of Environmental Studies. He also serves as the Chair of the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources Section of the Kentucky Bar Association, legal chair of the Sierra Club’s Cumberland (Kentucky) Chapter, and is a former Board President of the ACLU of Kentucky. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law and Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.  For more information, visit http://www.strobobarkley.com/.

Glenye Cain Oakford
KCC Administrative & Outreach Coordinator

A keen birding enthusiast, trail-rider, and dog-walker, Glenye joined Kentucky Conservation Committee in 2023. 

Her commitment to conservation grew naturally out of her interest in birds and other wildlife, as well as from her love of wilderness landscapes, rural life, and science.

A native North Carolinian who relocated to Kentucky in 1991, Glenye has a deep interest in agriculture, the environment, and how the two can interact for better or worse, from regenerative agriculture to animal health and zoonoses. 

Glenye assists KCC with outreach, event organization, and administrative work. From her base in Lexington, Kentucky, she also operates a multimedia content agency that draws on her professional experience in both journalism and marketing.
